A young man was driving a BMW car was stopped by a police truck at a popular checkpoint at upp Igun junction M.M.Way by Ikpoba slope this morning. He was asked to pay bribe for not having his correct papers and even as he begged to pay a little, they continued to demand for more. When he refused to pay the sum demanded and spoke rudely, a police officer pushed him mistakenly towards a moving truck which crushed his head and killed him instantly. Youths in the area decended on the police truck and officer chasing them with pellets and sticks. They later burnt down 3 police vans and two Hilux leaving a gridlock in that area as at eye witness report.
