"Today was A Sad and Shameful Day For Me!!
I got to the Enugu local Airport to board a flight to Abuja. Suddenly, I saw an Elderly Woman who appears very Wealthy judging by her mode of dressing nd d Guards wit her. She was complaining about her stolen Phone in a loud voice. I went closer to listen nd also see if I could help. At the same time, I was also downloading a PDF file on my phone.
Immediately she saw My Phone, she pointed at me, screamed nd told the Crowd "that man is holding my phone!"...dat of course is my New Samsung S8. For a moment I was so surprised, and shocked that I couldn't even open my mouth to utter a word. I was so so confused. She held me and slapped me. The crowd attempted to beat me up but luckily for me an Airport Policeman who was passing by came into the scene. He asked what was going on and I explained with tears on my face. The Policeman was about sending Us both to the Airport Police Post but I still insisted that I was Innocent.
So the policeman asked the Woman to call her Phone. She called and a Man picked. That must apparently have been her Son! The Guy told the woman that she left her phone at home when she was leaving town in a hurry. Oh my gawd!! I erupted into heavy tears nd more tears because I had already been disgraced in d presence of all onlookers nd intending passengers. Dat was just too much for me!!
The Policeman told the woman to beg me nd try to pacify, whilst also settling me with some money. The woman, at dis juncture, brought out her Cheque book and wrote out a Cheque of 3 million naira which she stretched forth to me, begging me to Pls accept it. I stretched out my hand grudgingly, wanting to accept cheque wen my phone rang waking me for morning prayers. I opened my eyes, and felt like smashing the phone.
Please what do you think I should do? Go back to sleep or smash this my S8???
