Violent prisoners post naked photos on Facebook via banned phones

Violent prisoners who were locked up for killing a delivery driver have been boasting about their ‘easy’ life in jail on Facebook.

Michael Roberts uploaded naked photographs of himself and fellow inmates Lee Ridgway and killer John Reid inside the high-security Saughton Prison in Edinburgh.

Roberts, 22, mocked prison staff as he told friends online: ‘Yeah my bro it’s so easy in here,’ as he used an illegally held mobile phone from his prison cell.
Roberts’ posts were made under the name Mikey 00tsoon on Facebook and MikeyRoberts30 on Instagram, according to the Daily Record.

A source claimed Roberts ‘runs things from his cell using his secret mobile phone,’ adding he organises gang fights outside the prison through a WhatsApp group.
Roberts uploaded a video of convicted killer John Reid punching another inmate, and told another friend: ‘Yeah my bro it’s so easy in here.’

Another picture added on Monday showed him and inmate Lee Ridgway with the comment: ‘Me and ma brother chilling.’
Roberts also told a friend he would call her later as it was ‘jail bait now,’ and told another: ‘Easy days bro’ and ‘F*k the sps (Scottish Prison Service) ma man.’

John Reid was 16 when he killed delivery driver Simon San, 40, with a single punch outside the San family’s takeaway restaurant in Lochend, Edinburgh, in 2010.
Mr San fell to the ground during the unprovoked attack, suffered fatal head injuries and died the following day.
Roberts, also 16 at the time, was involved in the attack and sentenced to 42 months for assault.
