The young have grown, the young should reign.
As 2019 elections draw nearer, we need to remind ourselves about the crucial state of the nation whereby the economy has grown from bad to worse and everything scattering in every sector.
Democracy in Nigeria is a government by the people for some people to share the cake and the food in it. It is a democracy ruled by a set of people repeatedly, and this set of people are of the old class, the old people ruling a great, populous and fertile land nation with an old brain. It calls for a momentum sacrifice for the youths to stand up and take it by chance, we need to push away these Old cabals with old brains away.
Nigerian youth movement was the first nationalist organisation ever to bring within its fold, the nationalist and politically conscious elements in Nigeria. Though NYM later splitted, due to some disagreement but it's breaking brought Dr nnamdi azikwe and Chief obafemi Awolowo to lime light and they both did well in their respective regions as a Prime Minister and as the first ceremonial president.
Many will argue with me, but it's a reality, Action group (Ag) when founded in 1950, Awolowo makes it official in 1951 through his inaugural speech in owo in ondo state. Introduce self government and the attainment of independence as a nation. And going back to inception the (NYM) produced this great political party.
Am not being political here, but let's support the likes of Yul Edochie for anambra, seyi makinde for Oyo state, Ismail Damola Fantola for Ibadan north and all younger contestants willing to change the direction wind of the great nation, we need youths will fresh brains and knowledge, with good ambition and experience to turn this fertile desert to a fertile spring nation. "the young have grown, the youth must reign"
