Big thing in the city of Ikorodu. A movie titled Ogo Ologo shot at some places in Ikorodu, produced by Funmilayo Bolaji and Co producer Basirat Jimoh (producer of sarah, Iseda mi etc) starring Odunlade Adekola, Madam saje, Lege Miami(Kenny Adams), Adebimpe Amope(Wasilat coded), All well Agbeke Ademola among others.
Ogo ologo can be translated as someone's glory or someone else's glory. CHARLIAN TV crew and IKORODUDAILYNEWS were there to capture behind the scenes of the movie. The story is about the parent of a lady who believes so much in fetish things. They lack patience and are not contented. This parents went to an Ifa priest to check the destiny of their daughter and they were informed that their daughter is not born to be rich and wealthy but she will marry a man that will elevate her, so, it is only through this man that she will be rich. The parent were not pleased with the Prophecy as they were not contented so, they left the place. Their daughter grew up into a very beautiful lady and was striving for a better living. Actually, she was the only child of her parent. She lived her life just as a normal being. she has no idea what her parent heard about her destiny and future.
At a point, her parent started disturbing her to get married, she declined so many times that she wasn't ready for marriage because she has not set a proper standard for herself. And because her parent knew she can never set that standard until she marries a rich man, they kept pressurizing her. On the long run, she met a man who got interested in her and asked for her hand in marriage. she happily took him home to her parent and they welcomed him for their own selfish interest, they thought it will be absurd if they'll have to look up to their son in law for money to cater for themselves, so they went back to the priest to ask first if, the man was in compatibility with their daughter and also to check the man's destiny too. The priest asked ifa and it said they were compatible and that the man has a very bright destiny,a shining glory that can never fade. The Parent of the lady coveted this and right there they agreed with each other that they should change their glory. They told the ifa priest of their wish, but the priest warned them strongly that it will boomerang, the parent rejected it and urged the priest to continue with his work. Behold, they deceived the son in law and their daughter to the ifa priest so that their destiny could be altered.
The deed was done and the daughter became the Bread winner of the family, she was rich, Famous and successful. Although, the lady didn't know how that came to be but she was happy that her hard works paid her. The husband to the lady became less successful and always look up to the lady for assistance and final say....After a while the parent suggested that she should leave the man and marry someone else that was more richer than she was.....This movie is just too interesting. Full of suspense and Fantasy. A lot of Lessons to be learnt in it...Watch out for this BLOCK BUSTER! Ensure you get your copy when it's out. OGO OLOGO!!!
