Celtic could miss re-signing Manchester City ace Patrick Roberts for a third loan spell, reports claims.
Daily Mail disclosed it that Manchester City are only looking to loan the attacker to only a Premier League side or abroad this summer, which sidelines Celtic.
It will indeed shock Celtic to know this since the City striker really was outstanding in the club as he made a huge 17 assists in 44 games.
"Celtic must do whatever they can to urge City to reconsider and bring Roberts back to Parkhead for another season. The youngster has come on leaps and bounds this season under Rodgers, and has even displaced Scotland international James Forrest on the right flank for the Hoops. With Celtic looking to go one better in the Champions League next season and make it to the knockout stages, Rodgers must keep his best players at Celtic Park and that includes the likes of Roberts. If Rodgers can convince the City hierarchy that they will mount a serious challenge in Europe, it might convince them that celtic can offer Roberts the sort of experience they’re looking for." Patrick Roberts is however contracted to Manchester City till 2020.
